Exploration of Crafts 1

Crafts 1 is a hands on studio art course intended for the students who are interested in the hands on creative process. Students will learn about the art and craft-making of various cultures while creating works of art. Students will get to experience working with a variety of different mediums such as wood, clay, fabric, metal, paint, yarn, while learning multiple studio techniques.
This is a full year course, and each quarter in the menu above feature the individual projects within that quarter. |
Students will be required to have a 3-ring binder (2"), pen, pencil, eraser. Students will document their work in their binder/ portfolio/journal which will include reflection, photographs of their work, and any notes or sketches associated with their projects.
We get dirty sometimes and it is the students responsibility to wear appropriate clothing or cover up when necessary. Proper handing of equipment, tools and materials is expected and students must have the ability to act in a mature and safe manner to take this class. |
